Where is the cheapest place to buy nursing scrubs online?

Looking for Dickie’s, they fit me the best but anything will do. I just can’t get myself to pay so much for something that looks like it was made from a curtain. I’d rather spend my money on a good pair of nursing shoes. Any suggestions on shoes are appreciated too! I’m a new nurse starting my first full-time nursing job!

Shoes For Standing All Day

What are some shoes I can wear if I have weird feet and stand all day?

Hi,

I just got a job bagging/cleaning at a grocery store. I usually get 2 days off during the week, and some days I will only stand 4 – 6 hours, but other days I can stand as long as 9 hours. Even after just 5 hours of standing, the bottoms of my feet are usually in a great deal of pain. It takes quite a few hours, plus a night of sleep before I can walk on them without feeling pain.

I am overweight (but working on it), and my feet are completely flat (as in I have no arches!). My feet are also very long, but very narrow. I am wondering what kind of shoes are out there that can provide the most comfort for long periods of standing, and also can fit narrow feet and have a lot of arch support.

I have looked into nursing shoes, but I want to see what other options there are. What do you think?

Thanks!

Any recommendations for kennel/outdoor work shoes?

I’m having trouble finding a shoe for what I do specifically. Here are my problems.
1. I’m on my feet all day with very little exception (maximum 10 minutes). This might seem like an obvious reason to get nursing shoes, but..
2. I get dirty. and I mean, dirty. I step in mud, I scoop dog poo, I dig holes, I groom animals, I get wet with soapy water, I get liquid medication all over myself when a dog decides to not like me.
3. I walk/jog/run multiple dogs a significant amount across mostly natural ground, in a field, consistently throughout the day. They need at least 3 walks/day. Some of this is uphill.
4. I do mild building and heavy cleaning and need shoes that will stand up to that sort of thing, too. Easily cleanable of dirt and dust, not likely to crumble under stray disinfectant.
5. My shoes can and will get gnawed on, on a routine basis. I don’t care how this makes them look, but they need to be able to stand up to that.

I would adore them to be cute on top of this but that’s probably asking way too much, haha. Does anyone have any suggestions, pref. from personal experience? Vet techs, zoo workers, dog walkers, rescue/shelter workers, pet sitters, anyone? They don’t have to be a perfect match. Specific recommendations if you can think of any please, I can’t go with just brands most of the time.

What brands of dress shoes are comfortable and supportive, but still stylish?

I’m new to teaching, and I’m on my feet all day long. So far everything I’ve tried (sandals, heels, ballet flats) has killed my feet by the end of the day! I’m not allowed to wear tennis shoes, or I would! I usually wear skirts or dress pants and nice blouses, so I’d like to find some dress shoes that are comfortable and SUPPORTIVE (very important, as I have no arches), but still dressy and stylish. Can anyone recommend any brands? Or stores? I’ll even order them online if I feel like they’re supportive. I looked into nursing shoes, but I don’t want to wear Crocs, and most of the nursing shoes won’t work for my job. But nurses, hairdressers, and anyone else who spends most of their workday on their feet, what do you all wear? I would REALLY appreciate any helpful suggestions!!! Thank you!

My daughter will be taking a CNA course this fall, what will she need?

Our highschool offers a CNA class for those students wanting to get their CNA certification. It’s the last 3 classes of the day, lasting the whole year. I am pretty certain she will need scrubs for clinical, and some type of nursing shoes, a watch, and a stethoscope maybe? Do any of you with experience know what they will want her to have for class? Thanks!

whats the deal with the nursing shoe fad?

I see everyone wearing the little nursing shoes with the holes in them, there kinda cute to me, but there not all that, are girls wearing them because there cute or just really lazy and dont have time to put any other shoe on..

What shoes are best for cosmetologists?

I start beauty school in June and I was wondering what shoes would be the most comfy? Vans? Keds? A lot of people have said nursing shoes but I’m looking for a specific brand that you like or know someone else has liked. Thanks!
